Should You Ditch Your Blog in 2025?

Hey hey!

Most people don’t announce the moment they decide to trust you. They can't. But they remember how your words made them feel, often forgetting URLs, especially if they don't bookmark as extravagantly as I do.

A blog is where that decision often begins.

At its best, a blog, yes the one that is gathering dust, is a steady way of building confidence.

A good blog says more than it sells...

The role of long-form content has shifted.

It’s no longer about pushy, salesy, punch lines after every few scrolls. It’s about whether what you publish helps someone understand how you think, what you’ve seen, and what you know. And in turn, change their way of thinking.

Effective blogs now feel grounded:

  • They draw from the real experiences of people
  • Reflect clear judgment
  • Avoid pretending to have all the answers.

Don’t share everything you know in one long post.

Remember the good old days when every new experience got a brand new post with a flashy headline even if 2 people read it?

Likewise, a well-written blog post explains how you approach the problem or why you solve it a certain way.

And the best part your reader isn’t impressed by fancy photos and perfect diction.

They’re looking for signs there’s a thoughtful person behind the business.

Act like a local media outlet, just with more product shots... Instead of pushing broad promos, tie your content to what’s happening right outside your door. Hello folks! A while back, I came across a social account with beautiful pictures but something felt off. I scrolled through the feed, re-read the bio, checked the captions. Everything looked good. Then I opened the gallery view and looked at the photos as a whole (gasped) and there they were: the scribbles. Text everywhere — on the top, the sides, the bottom. In pink, blue, white, neons (seriously). Since then, I’ve been meaning to write about fonts (or rather, the abundance of them) and why...
